GeoPulse LF
Sub-Bottom Profiler
Boomer-type Sub-Bottom Profiler offering safe operation and high quality data
Low voltage boomer system
Lower operating voltage improves safety onboard while maintaining reliable acoustic performance for surveys.
Collect accurate data safely
High-quality seismic data acquisition with reduced risk to personnel during deployment and operation.
Compact, portable design
Compact system footprint simplifies handling, transport, and installation across a range of survey vessels.
Suitable for small vessels
Efficient operation from smaller platforms expands survey capability without requiring large dedicated vessels.
Lightweight cable
Reduced cable weight improves handling and deployment, minimising strain on crew and equipment.
Easy mob and de-mob
Rapid mobilisation and demobilisation minimise downtime, supporting efficient project turnaround and vessel utilisation.
Low voltage boomer for safe and economic marine seismic survey.
Building on a field-proven technology platform, the system retains the functionality of traditional boomers while introducing key updates and delivering sector leading data quality.
With an underwater capacitor and energy source output below 1000 V, it is significantly safer than conventional systems running at up to 4000 V. The compact 11 kg energy source, 2 kVA mains input and light weight cable support efficient mob and de-mob and are small vessel friendly. GeoPulse LF 101 is a 100/50 Joules system, producing up to 6 pulses per second. This achieves an optimal balance between resolution and water depth for high-precision shallow-water engineering surveys.
High quality profiling using less than 1000 volts
Operating at significantly lower voltage than conventional boomers, the system still delivers consistent, high-quality sub-bottom profiles, ensuring dependable interpretation of sediment layers and buried features without compromising safety or performance.
Designed for practical deployment
Compact hardware, lightweight components and simplified handling enable fast mobilisation and demobilisation on vessels of opportunity, supporting efficient project start-up and minimising logistical complexity across offshore, nearshore and port & harbour environments.
Optimal resolution and water depth balance
A carefully tuned energy output and firing rate provide consistent penetration and vertical resolution, supporting accurate imaging of shallow subsurface conditions for engineering, dredging, and infrastructure surveys where clarity and reliability are critical.
Safe operations even on smaller vessels
Lower system voltage and reduced power requirements enable safe deployment on smaller vessels, allowing contractors to complete sub-bottom surveys without relying on large platforms, reducing costs and improving access to shallow or constrained sites.
New models coming soon
A higher energy 200 Joules variant will extend penetration capability and improve performance in more challenging ground conditions, supporting deeper investigation requirements while retaining the operational simplicity and safety advantages of the current system.
